Celebrating 40 years of marriage, we have raised 2 lovely daughters, both of which have grown up to become pastor's wives. We have 5 wonderful grandchildren and one spoiled-rotten Dachshund. We are in our twentieth year pastoring First Baptist Church in Mountain Grove, Missouri. We've been in ministry together since 1976 and continue to enjoy ministering together in many capacities, including revivals, marriage retreats, and prayer conferences. Our newest service is a Sportsman's Program, done in camouflage, ministering to the saved and unsaved. We enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, and grandparenting. We love living and we enjoy each other! God is our captain and we are thrilled to be following where He leads us.

Singles Ministry Mission Statement

SINGLES MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT

The Single Friends Ministry of First Baptist Church is dedicated to bring honor and glory to god by reaching out to singles in Mountain Grove and our surrounding community by...

*Proclaiming the Gospel
*Teaching God's Word
*Ministering to needs of singles
*Providing Christian fellowship

We provide programs for never married, separated, divorced, and widowed adults from age 20 through retirement. The three-fold purpose of this ministry is:

+To provide settings in which mutual support systems and relationships can be built
+To offer opportunities for personal growth toward wholeness.
+To offer opportunities for personal growth toward wholeness.
+To encourage spiritual development.

The Singles Ministry operates within the context of the church as a whole, and seeks to help unmarried people develop an identity as an integral part within (not separate from) the entire faith community.

The purpose of Single Friends Ministries is to be an outreach arm of First Baptist that meets the needs of single adult of many ages and backgrounds. Our ultimate goal is to see each person come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to be incorporated into the full life of the Church.

OBJECTIVES OF THE FIRST BAPTIST SINGLE ADULT MINISTRY

1. To encourage Single Adults to use their spiritual gifts, to serve God (Psalm 100:2) and to praise God (Psalm 9:1-2) by introducing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to as many Single Adults as possible.

2. To provide a supportive Christian fellowship for those who are single, separated, divorced, or widowed.

3. To promote reconciliation among those whose divorces are not final.

4. To encourage healthy friendships in a non-threatening environment.

5. To help men and women become the person God wants them to be.

6. To assist in the rearing of children in a healthy, Christ-centered home environment.

7. To facilitate involvement in the total supportive fellowship of First Baptist Church.
